We DO NOT take electronics, such as printers, scanners, fax machines, monitors, computers, phone systems and such.

We DO accept boxed miscellaneous items, such as; staplers, in/out trays, binders, hole-punchers, unused printer paper, white boards, cork boards, and other small to medium non-electronic items.

WHAT DOES THE BENEFIT STORE TAKE?

Office furniture in good condition.



SUCH AS?

DESKS, CREDENZAS, FILES, BOOKCASES, CHAIRS, TABLES, PRINTER STANDS, COMPUTER DESKS, DRAFTING TABLES, DRAFT CHAIRS, WHITEBOARDS, HUTCHES, RECEPTION UNITS...



HOW MANY?

We come out if you have a fair quantity (4 or more pieces) OR a small quantity (1 or 2 pieces) that are high quality items. (It's too costly for us to do small pick-ups of 1 or 2 items.)



WHAT DO YOU USE TO DO THE PICK-UPS?

We have a 17 foot bobtail that is capable of large pick ups and we can also accommodate repeat pick ups if necessary. Two store employees come prepared with dollies, panel carts, blankets, look at the items and then take what we can easily resell.



ANY RESTRICTIONS?

We can not carry items up and down stairs so we ask that the items either be on the ground floor or there be an elevator we can use.



IS THE BENEFIT STORE INSURED?

YES. We can provide a certificate of insurance upon request.



WHAT ITEMS WON'T YOU TAKE?

We hesitate from taking metal desks or cubicles at this time, but we have made exceptions in certain cases.

CAN I JUST LEAVE THE ITEMS OUTSIDE?

NO. We can not accept items that have been or are outside.



DO YOU TAKE ELECTRONICS?

NO. We do not accept electronics.



WILL YOU TAKE EVERYTHING?

We CAN NOT promise that we will remove all the furniture that is scheduled to be looked at.



WHY CAN'T YOU TAKE IT ALL?

We have limited space in our store and no way of fixing or refurbishing the items, which means we have to be somewhat selective.



When should I call to schedule a pick up?

We also ask you to call a few days ahead of time to schedule a pick up, particularly towards the end of the month because we book up quickly.



WHAT HOURS DO YOU COME PICK-UP?

The Benefit Store offers pick up times during the morning hours between 9:30 AM to 11 AM and in the afternoon between 1 PM and 3:30 PM.



CAN YOU COME AFTER HOURS?

NO. We usually can not accommodate after store hour pick ups but again, exceptions have been made for particularly large or quality items.



Do I get a receipt?

-NO. This is not a charitable donation and can not be used as a tax write off. You are helping by keeping bulky items that are still in good condition from going to the land fill and in return you don't have to deal with the hassle of moving and removing heavy furniture because in most cases we'll do it for you!
